• It uses web based apps, like Netflix, Amazon Prime, and interfaces with the display via HDMI, it is not for a smartphone or tablet, so Apple vs Android is irrelevent.

• Yes it works with Apple products very well. Only for one device at a time. Not for dual purposes.
