The Iris outdoor sensor includes a mounting bracket that can be mounted to a surface or post or you can purchase a length of 3/4 inch schedule 40 or 80 PVC pipe or a steel pole with an outer diameter of one inch. We recommend mounting the sensor at least 5 feet off the ground and away from any surfaces that may radiate heat with no obstructions near or above.
