In the process of saving you can adjust the file size.

I can do it, you can change it of course when you save it

You can resize images with a choice of keeping the data res or changing the data res. For example a large image at 72dpi for screen viewing could be resized to 300dpi for printing without changing the data or it could be resized to some fraction of its original size with a choice of compression methods to end up with a smaller file size.
