This all depends on whether the CarPlay icon and program is built into the vehicle or not. The unit is not compatible with every vehicle due to the numerous ways manufacturers make the stereo systems. So test things out quickly and take the unit back if it does not work. See my notes on setup. ---------->>> SETUP Once plugged in and the vehicle is on, connect your phone's Bluetooth to the Aluratek CarPlay or Android Auto adapter. It is ok if your Phone's Bluetooth is also connected to the vehicle's Bluetooth as well...but make sure the phone is connected to the Aluratek adapter. You can disconnect from the unit and reconnect to establish a better connection if needed.
