A:AnswerI don't think so. Apple made some changes that made it difficult to connect. Try the following: -->> TRYING TO RESET THE UNIT
Here are the steps to reset the CarPlay Adapter
1. Connect the adapter to a USB power source (a computer in your home is best)
2. Go to the WIFI setting on your PHONE (not Bluetooth in this case) and select the CarPlay/Android adapter, password is 88888888
3. Open safari on you Mac or any web browser on your PC and type in 192.168.1.101 -- then hit the enter key on your computer keyboard.
4. You should then be presented with an option to factory reset. You may also see an update option. How try the unit in your car and try connecting your phone to the adapter via Bluetooth.
5. If none of this is working then return the unit to the retailer or send us your proof of purchase. We can then send you an RMA number, you can return the adapter to us and we will send you a new replacement.
A:AnswerAs long as the CarPlay app is built into the vehicle, then yes. If the vehicle has to take the app and functionality from the USB direct connection then no. There are many vehicles that must have the direct USB connection. If you purchase one try it immediately and return the unit if you cannot get it working within the first 3 or 4 days. Contact [email protected] for more info.
A:AnswerWe sell an Android Auto device. Just get that. The Apple Device will not work with Android phones. Paste the following link into a browser. https://aluratek.com/products/wireless-car-adapter-for-android-auto?_pos=1&_sid=7281e4d19&_ss=r
A:AnswerHi. So you should only connect to this adapter via Bluetooth and not WIFI. If you wish to try the WIFI you can type in 88888888. But typically the WIFI is for resetting the unit. For more info contact [email protected].
A:AnswerIt's best if your vehicle has the CarPlay or Android icon on the stereo even if your phone is not connected, But be sure to test the unit and give us a call if you need assistance. [email protected]
A:AnswerIt should work really well, but you may have to test the unit. With some car stereos the unit may not come with the icons pre-setup for Android Auto or Apple CarPlay. If this is the case with your vehicle stereo then it may need the high-speed USB connection so the stereo can grab info off the phone. In these instances the Aluratek adapter may not work. So be sure to test things as soon as you get the device.
A:AnswerThere is nothing in the adapter than controls he phone nor tells the phone only to ring once. This could be a setting on the phone or with hands-free settings on the car. In some cases you may need to be connected to the Adapter via Bluetooth and then also to the car stereo via Bluetooth.
A:AnswerThis all depends on how the car stereo was built to work with Bluetooth and whether the Apple CarPlay icon is built in or if the car has to get the info from the phone using a USB connection. Be sure to test the unit once purchased.
A:AnswerI would say probably not. This device didn't even provide the ability to even use Car Play. It would not work with my iPhone 16 Pro on a 2024 year model vehicle. So I doubt it would let you use the apps you mentioned.
A:AnswerIf the CarPlay or Android Auto icon on your car stereo shows even when the phone is not connected via USB cable then the unit should work. Some vehicles only get the app from the phone if they do not have the software built into the vehicle. Check it out and let us know if you need assistance. Contact [email protected].

A:AnswerThis depends on how the stereo was manufactured. ---- NOTES ON COMPATIBILITY ---->>>> If the CarPlay or Android Auto icon on your car stereo does not show unless your iPhone is plugged into the car -- directly via USB -- then the adapter will likely not work with your vehicle. Some vehicles only get the app from the phone and do not have the software built into the vehicle. Test this unit quickly and if it's not compatible then return to the retailer immediately.
A:AnswerMost likely not. Usually the 2015 models onward will work better. See my notes below. ---->>> NOTES ON COMPATIBILITY : If the CarPlay or Android Auto icon on your car stereo does not show unless your iPhone or Android phone is plugged into the car -- directly via USB -- then the adapter will likely not work with your vehicle. Some vehicles only get the app from the phone and do not have the software built into the vehicle.
