• If you have Apple CarPlay or Android Auto built in to work with usb, and have a usb port, it should work. If you already have wireless Apple CarPlay or Android Auto built into the vehicle, then that should be used and this would be unnecessary.

• Unfortunately no because Tesla does not support CarPlay. The car needs to have wired CarPlay for you to use this adapter.
