No, surprisingly this is a lot better reaction time than the Arlo camera. The only downside to this is that it records every moving object (unless there is a settings that i'm not aware of).
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I am not familiar with Arlo. There is a slight delay (about a second) for live transmission. Essentially no delay for recording to kick in when motion starts. I walk in front of camera and my phone alerts me (if not set on home away) right away. Sometimes there is a few minutes delay in being alerted if wifi is weak to be able to view recording which is stored in Amazon cloud. Even then motion is recorded with no delay from start of motion. I am able to view mice walking into my mouse "catcher" in garage in complete darkness.
