I am going to guess Google Home might be the better option. Since you have an Android phone which requires a Google account, the integration might be easier between Google Home, Calendar, Reminders. Alexa supports integration with Google Calendar, but not with Google Reminders.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I bought the Amazon Echo Dot ($45) which allows you to add events to your Google Calendar (Event, date and time) -- Easy. Amazon Dot has it's own to do list and shopping list that you pull up on your smart phone after you've added to the list(s) on the Dot. Easy, but this may be different than the many programs out there. There are ways to build your own shortcuts to allocations. I tried twice and at this point gave up. That said, Amazon is adding all the time. I haven't tried Google Home or the more expensive Echo but I get the impression they pretty much do the same things at this time (even the less expensive Amazon Dot. If concerned, get the Dot at $45 and return it if you don't like it.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. We have it linked to our google calendar that is on all of our devices you simply ask Alexa what is on my calendar for today and she will repeat all events on your google calendar. Really great would recommend the Dot for the price you could get 2 or 3 and put them in seperate rooms for what the Google home one costs. Hope this helps.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Unless you have amazon prime and plan to make orders and play prime music, google is a far more sophisticated device. I have tested many questoons between the two and alexa is stumped while google is not. To answer your question about calandars, the dot/alexa is compatible with google calandar.
