“Can this be used with your tv sound? My tv is really hard to hear when the voices in a movie are low & I need to amplify the volume. The tv is up all the way, but is very hard to hear. I have Direct Tv w/remote, also remote that came with the tv has apps.”

I believe this only works when you have a smart tv and compatible with alexa
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.My understanding is that this is not one of the intended uses of the Dot. The Dot has it's own speakers so that you can hear it speak to you or hear the content you are receiving from it (such as when Alexa is playing music for you). You can actually attach other external speakers to these Echo devices to improve the sound quality of the content they are playing for you. This device does look like a 'speaker', but I don't think it can be used as one for a TV. My apologies if I'm mistaken.
