What does echo dot do? null

It's basically Google using voice instead of typing. I love to tell Alexa to play a band or artist and then just enjoy the music having never lifted a finger.

It will answer questions, provide weather updates, can play music (needs to be connected to a good speaker), can be the first step in home automation.

Same as the echo. You can ask about weather. Play games. Make shopping lists. Many many things. Just smaller, smaller speakers.
