• Your TV must be controlled by an IR\blaster hub that is compatible with Echo. (Take a look at Harmony).

• Am Amazon Dot isnt a TV device. It is a device similar to Siri on your iphone. It is an always listening device that you say "ALEXA" and then ask a quesetion. For example, "ALEXA PLAY MUSIC BY JOHN DENVER" and it will play music. It doesnt connect to your TV.

• it s not the tv it is the service i think it works with dishtv.
