Both offer the same type of experience however that experience may vary due to the services that Amazon and Google utilizes. Google Home particularly provides Chromecast support whereas the other does not.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. They do similar things. Major difference is that Amazon has two devices and Google just one.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Different companies same idea. I suggest you go to youtube and see some of the review comparisons. I decided on the DOT and have no regrets. I think the Google Home is more expensive. Right now the Dot is on sale. It's also smaller. Even without a sound system (BlueTooth) the Dot can put out some sound. I'm very impressed with the product.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The Echo is made by Amazon and Google Home is by Google. Think of it as Dodge and Ford who both make cars for the road, but they each make them with a different look and feel. The Echo priced a little higher than the Home, but there are different models of the Echo which are cheaper than the Home. Echo has more smart home partnerships having been released for much longer than the Home, but both are gaining more over time. You can customize the physical appearance of the Google Home by swapping out the base, though Amazon has begun selling cases for the Echo Dot model. The Echo has more variations of it that may suit different needs(e.g., Echo(all-in-one), Echo Dot(connect external speakers), Tap(portable)). Speaker quality is different and the personal assistant have varying commands it can understand too.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Echo dot is cheaper but like never having owned a Google Home you need to look at complete specs.
