“can I use this echo dot or even the full size echo as a speaker for my desktop computer without activating alexa ? I want a small speaker for my desktop that doesn't take up much room but sounds good...seems like this would be perfect if it will work”

• The Echo products are activated by Alexa so you have to activate it to use for anything. All controls and info are done on the app.

• I use the echo for my laptop to listen to Spotify so you should be able to use

• Hello, yes you can use the Echo as a bluetooth speaker with your computer or other devices that have a bluetooth connection without activating Alexa. Hope this helps!
