The Echo Dot uses 110 V or 220 V depending on the wall adapter supplied with the Echo. An adapter proper for the country it is sold in is included in the package. An adapter may be used to change to another voltage but the included Power Block is fairly large and might not fit some voltage adapters.. Devices sold in the USA use the included 110 volt adapter by plugging it into a standard wall socket. The Echo has no battery so it must be plugged into a wall socket to work.
