Just once. Have the app open and your phone near the device to active each device. The first one takes a little bit longer then the rest. It should walk you though the setup.

Plug in your device. 3. Open the Alexa app . 4. Open More and select Add Device. 5. Select Amazon Echo, Echo Dot, Echo Plus and more. 6. Follow the on screen instructions to set up you device. You will follow these same steps through this same Alexa app for all four devices, as it prompts you, you will select names based on where the device is located such as 'living room' or 'bedroom' etc etc. I hope this helps, Have a great day!
