• you can only connect your alexa to your tv if it can support it. and yes you can play music through the sound bar just pair it

• Hello, If your Samsung TV has the Alexa app in the main menu of the Smart TV, you would be able to pair the TV app with your Echo Dot, and then it would have functions like Power, volume and input. For the soundbar, again, if it is Alexa compatible, or you could use a 3.5 MM Audio input from the soundbar to the Echo Dot and it would allow you to use the soundbar as the speaker as long as it were on.
