• Besides the clock there is no functional differences between the two 4th gen dots. There is a $10 difference price wise (as of this posting). As this replaced the alarm clock beside my bed the $10 difference was worth it to me.

• Obviously, the clock, but it also displays the alarm when setting, and the timer, as well as the temperature when you ask for it.
