• Hi Jc44! While the Echo Dot 5th Gen has the ability to extend your eero network, you don't need any eero devices for the Echo Dot to work. You'll still be able to talk to Alexa just fine on a regular WiFi network. I'm a big fan of the temperature sensor in the Echo Dot 5th Gen, I use it pretty regularly to check the temperature in my bedroom and decide if I need to adjust my thermostat.
