• Yes, you can. Using the App, you can bring up the camera and see through it whenever you want. You can then talk into your phone and they can hear you, if they are in the room. I did this one day to see if my wife was watching TV and ask her a question. It announces that the camera is being accessed, so they don't get secretly spied on.

• Hello Mindi, you can definitely talk to your dog through the Echo Show 8. Using your phone you can open the Alexa App and Drop In on any Echo device in your house. I do this all the time with my dog. It's a lot of fun. Have a great day!
