Alexa is a great addition to my home
||Posted . Owned for 1 year when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I love this product. It has a big screen so it’s easy to see from a distance. Not only that but it doesn’t glitch like the others. I’ve had no problems at all. This product is worth getting if you have a hard time seeing from a far. Also if you want to run your home off of the internet like your lights, TV, outlets, etc. then this is what you definitely want to get. It makes a great addition to my home. Especially because I have a baby so my hands always full. So Alexa makes it easy to turn off the lights or TV when in a hurry. Or I went upstairs and whoops forgot to turn off the lights. All I have to do is ask Alexa to turn off the lights. Anyways yes I definitely would recommend this product to everyone that wants an internet ran home and a hands free life.

Amazing.
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I’m impressed with the price and-all the technology behind it and the sound is amazing for a small speaker. I bought one for my Daughter’s Birthday present and immediately after she showed me what it can do, i bought one for myself and my wife, so we all have echo8.

I love it life-changing
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This was my fourth Echo device purchase. I have two Echo Show 5's, a 2nd generation dot, 4th generation dot and now this. We originally purchased an Echo Show 5 for our kitchen and I loved it so much, I decided to upgrade to the Show 8 and move the 5 to the living room. Luckily, the app makes it easy to change rooms for your devices because a lot of echo shuffling went on after that. We now have one in the kitchen, living room, basement, bedroom and bathroom. While I'm getting my lunch ready for work in the morning, I have Alexa show me the latest local news. Sometimes, I'll play some music, stream a show or watch a game while cooking. The resolution is pretty good for a small device and the sound is great. It's not stereo quality of course but it's not bad either. It was super easy to set up. I'm talking suuuuuper easy. Other than plugging it in, I didn't have to do anything. I didn't even have to add my wifi password because I was able to set everything up before the device even arrived thanks to a setup email. I didn't buy a stand for it but it fits just fine where I set it. It's not wobbly or unstable. I don't use my echos for phone calls so I can't say how well that works. I also haven't used the camera on this one, nor do I really have any immediate plans to, so I can't attest to that either. I honestly use these mostly to control lights throughout the house as well as the TVs, create shopping lists, set reminders and timers, view the cameras we have set up outside, check to see who is at the doorbell, ask about the weather and use for entertainment purposes. Speaking of entertainment, I have had issues with it opening Netflix. This isn't isolated to this device though. It's something I've had issues with on all my echo shows. You can ask her to, and she'll say she did, but nothing happens. I need to play around with it but haven't had time yet. Obviously not a priority. Other than that, she opens Amazon Prime just fine (of course) as well as Tubi. What's really nice is that I was also able to open my YouTube TV via the internet and scroll through the live guide with no issues. I have Amazon Photos and have made albums specifically for the show. I just did one that is all Christmas backgrounds and it looks so festive! I love it! I've also used their nature one and really like it. The photos are beautiful, although you do get news bits and Alexa tips inbetween. That doesn't bother me. Some of the tips are interesting and the news bits are informative. All in all, I think it's plainly obvious that I love the Alexa devices, having 5 throughout my house now. I'm not even sure I will stop there as I have considered getting one for our shop/garage as well as my workout shed. Time will tell there, but if you like the dots, upgrading to the shows are totally worth it and I'd definitely recommend.

Show (In a home with Echos and Blink Camera)
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought this show along with a blink camera to be able to see the camera's feed on the show's screen. I love it. I have several echos throughout my house; I would always ask for the time or the temperature, so it's nice to just look over to this one and see that displayed. It's a big plus that I'm able to see art, landscape or my photos as a screen saver. Haven't gotten around to customize settings yet, but so far this product has exceeded my expectations. If I had paid regular price it would have seemed pricey, since I got it on sale and because it would help me see my camera's feed, I didn't hesitate to purchase.

I loved it!!
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I loved it!!!, I bought it at a very good price, very good purchase, sound, image, for my father who is an elderly man, it is very useful, only on some occasions when giving some indication, it seems that he did not listen to me, and I must repeat, but apart from that, I am very happy to have acquired it.

Q: QuestionWhat exactly can you do with the show8 besides video call which I hate. Only feature I know and love is the recipes stay lit so I don’t have to keep tapping my iPad. What else is Echo good for?
Asked by CColl.
- A:Answer Hello CColl! This is a great question! There are a multitude of features you can use the Echo Show 8 for that aren't just video calls! Yes, the recipes feature is tremendous to use, but you can also use the video streaming capabilities of the device for a plethora of streaming services such as Prime Video, Hulu, Netflix, etc. You can also use it for streaming music with your favorite music services such as Amazon Music, Apple Music, and Spotify. In addition to these features, Alexa can be used for numerous other tasks such as controlling smart home devices, being an intercom using a "drop in" or "announcements" feature, securing your home as a security camera that you can access through your Alexa app, and be a link to video doorbells so you can see who is at your door through your doorbell with compatible devices. All of this is just the tip of the iceberg of ways you can utilize your Echo Show 8 but I hope this helps and answers your question a bit! Thanks again for inquiring and I hope you have a phenomenal day!

Q: QuestionThe all family use iPhone, echo show is compatible with apple device
Asked by Fred.
- A:Answer Hello Fred! I believe you are asking if you can use the Echo Show with an iPhone? There is an Alexa app available for download on the Apple AppStore which allows you to utilize the full extent of what the Echo Show can offer. Also, since the Show is a screened device, you can even use and set it up without using an app at all. You can just follow the onscreen instructions and the device is a full featured touch screen. I hope this answers your question and you have an amazing day!

Q: QuestionCan you show a side-by-side checklist of Features comparing the 8 second generation to the 10 third generation please
Asked by Dee.
- A:Answer Dee, Hello! I can't do a side by side on here but, I can tell you in a snap shot quickly...starting with the SHOW8: The new Echo Show 8 has some great upgraded features. The device now has a 13 MP camera that is built to keep you in frame! The camera has auto-framing that can zoom and tilt to always keep you in frame and centered for video calls. You can also look in when you're away with the built-in camera. The Echo Show 8 gives you control of compatible devices like cameras, lights, and more using the interactive display, your voice, or your motion. Show10: Move around the room during video calls or while you're cooking along to a recipe and the brilliant 10.1" HD screen will automatically turn to face you! Catch up with your favorite people without having to worry about staying in frame, the 13mp camera can zoom in and pan out to make sure you are centered! Take a look around when you're away! Watch your shows with the premium sound that adapts to the space you're in and so much more... I hope this helps explain some of the features of the Echo SHOW8 compared to the SHOW10

Q: QuestionWill I be able to connect the Nest/Google video doorbell, thermostats, indoor and outdoor cameras to this 2nd gen Echo 8? I was also told you can't watch YouTube?
Asked by Chanimal23.
- A:Answer Hello, Chanimal23! Yes! You can access your Nest/Google doorbell, thermostat, and other cameras on your Echo Show 8. All you would need to do is enable the Nest skill in the Alexa App and that will link all of your Nest devices to Alexa. As far as YouTube goes, you can access it on the device, but it is not through an app. It is accessible through the web browser on the device. Simply say, "Alexa, show me cat videos on YouTube" and she will pull it up for your! Have a great day!
