• Hi OOWEE577, There are main differences include the following: Echo Show 8 1st gen has a 1MP camera with built-in shutter and the 2nd Gen has a 13 MP camera with auto-framing. 1st gen has one 2.0” (52 mm) neodymium speakers with passive bass radiator and the 2nd gen has 2 x 2.0" speakers Overall the second generation has a better camera and sound than the first generation!
