Yes, the recipes feature is tremendous to use, but you can also use the video streaming capabilities of the device for a plethora of streaming services such as Prime Video, Hulu, Netflix, etc. You can also use it for streaming music with your favorite music services such as Amazon Music, Apple Music, and Spotify. In addition to these features, Alexa can be used for numerous other tasks such as controlling smart home devices, being an intercom using a "drop in" or "announcements" feature, securing your home as a security camera that you can access through your Alexa app, and be a link to video doorbells so you can see who is at your door through your doorbell with compatible devices.
