• You don't have to pay amazon for the internet, but it is a kindle and not a full blown tablet. This means that the apps are purchased through the amazon app store, note many popular apps are there--- pinterest and facebook, they may vary slightly in use/features from apple/MS implementation. If you choose Apps from MS store, they are hit or miss based on your success to load them on sideways. The browser used is silk.
