“My grandson will be 5 years old so I'm not sure if I should get this particular one, and ABC mouse has a lot of information to be downloaded. Which one would you recommend because I want it for the long term.”

ABC Mouse runs well on my son's 'Kindle Fire HD Kid's Edition - the previous generation, not the newest 2018 version. Especially since you're looking for longterm, I'd recommend getting the the Fire HD Kid's edition.

I recommend the Fire. We have been through a few different kinds of tablets over the years between my now 7 year old and my older children and the Fire has lasted the longest and now the Kids Fire seems to be the most versatile. Amazon Kids comes with it and is amazing for all kinds of kid friendly apps and ebooks. Far worth the investment.
