We purchased this tablet for my 3 year-old son, for Christmas 2018. This was his 3rd tablet, each an upgrade of some sort, but his first Kindle Fire. We are an Amazon Prime Family, with several children ranging from 3 yo to 17 yo and a 1 yo grandson; our decision to shift to all Fire Tablets came with the support of Amazon Customer Service, which is always over and above expected standards. With the Amazon Prime FreeTime Family settings you are able to set content restrictions based on each child's maturity and/or age, the tablets' usage is trackable and able to be limited by certain times or time lengths, and my favorite perk with FreeTime is the ALL INCLUSIVE EDUCATIONAL APPS, EPISODES, GAMES, AND BOOKS that are chosen by the child with recommendations based on age/restrictions set by parents. Parent's can also add additional content, such as Netflix, Hulu, Messenger Kids, etc that are not standard for the child's profile. The tablet has an amazing storage capacity with the ability to extend the storage with an external SD card, perfect for saving photos, vidoes, and other special moments my 3 year old captures through his view of our large world. The one "con" I feel could be improved or just simply noted is the slower charging speed. It seems to die a little more quickly than our older kiddos' Fire 8 HD Tablets with the same bluetooth headphones being used and the same content being accessed, but maybe it's due to size or quality of picture and delivery of content? All in all, I would absolutely recommend this tablet for a child of any age range, with interests that cannot be limited nor contained, with the perks for involved parents to better control and access the content their child engages with.

She really enjoys the Amazon Free Time. I love having control on the amout of time she is allowed to be on there.

I've seen mixed reviews on the newer operating system system, complaining that it is too complex for young children. My 6 year old has no issues and has to only ask for help if she goes to an app on my page. My 2 year old navigates through everything on her page without any issue after watching her sister do it a few times. She will go from playing a game to watching a video with no trouble. The only downside is that in the kids section I feel like it isn't intuitive to add more content into their pages, but they haven't gotten bored with the content that was auto populated yet, so I haven't really made any attempt to research how to update it. We have an iPad and the fire tablet and we thinking of buying another fire tablet because they seem to prefer it over the ipad.

This tablet is awesome. My daughter absolutely loves the case, screen size, and all the apps she can download for free. My husband and I love the parental controls, especially the timer.

This tablet is excellent for small children. It has parental controls and a long battery. Only issue is the charge time. It takes forever. Otherwise I would give it 5 stars. Warrantee is excellent and Amazon stands by it.

I got this after replacing my son’s tablet 3 times and now having my daughters 2nd one die, the Fire 7HD. They were always full with apps and lagging way behind. I couldn’t go through the 2 day shipping option because I have a 4yo and I want to live. They’re impossible to get outside of the site run by the giant that makes them. I had substantial rewards so I checked Best Buy and saw they had them. PINK but they were in hand. I jumped quickly on a deal of buy 1 and get 50% off another. My only glitch was that I needed them both immediately and pleaded with the representative that since they had them both in stock locally, maybe she could place the 2 orders and I could charm them with my kids and my smile. Really I’d have my kids beg. She came back after a minute and had talked to her team leader and felt for me as moms. The only issue was their computer wouldn’t allow a purchase of 2. She put me on a quick hold and then returned excited because she was able to get a full override. Always cordial and polite, she said she hoped that helped. They sold me one at the sale pride. And then a separate purchase of the 2nd one for $100 less. Then she called the store and confirmed the absolute protection of two, regardless of policy, and that clearance was obtained for a high level override. My deafening children were so excited when we walked through the door and I explained that I made an online purchase when my daughter added “OH YEAH! OH YEAH! WE GOT NEW TABLETS SO HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU!” He quickly addressed me as Mr Tanke, acknowledged and made an impression on both monsters and walked me to the counter where they had both tablets wrapped up and already ready to go. He said “I heard you had 2 little kids and were getting these for them. I have a little brother and he can be crazy sometimes but he was totally crazy when he was little, like 4 or 5. I thought that with two, it would be tough walking into a superstore that doesn’t have 10 aisles devoted to toys. So I wanted to get everything as ready as possible so you could walk in and right back out. But your kids are adorable. So I’ve been stalling and kept you here an extra 10 or 15 minutes to play with your kids. I’m sorry.” Every single aspect of that purchase was was better than the one before. And it started well. I just hope Amazon stands behind it with the same level of professionalism. But I guess anything is possible.

I love how big it is and the rubber case around it. The preloaded games are wonderful.

I have transitioned my toddler from an iPad to this Amazon tablet and it was by far a great decision. This tablet is easy to use and manage and I love the fact that kids apps are already predownloaded. It also has many security features to limit your child’s time spent or what they can view. The case that is on the tablet is beneficial to prevent damage when accidents happen!

It’s so easy to hold & handle, battery life is amazing. I don’t have to worry about my child touching anything, buying stuff, or using something he shouldn’t because they have parental controls!

I purchased the Amazon Fire HD 10 Kids Edition for my Granddaughter. Good Tablet for a Great Price. I love that it has Parental Controls and loaded with 1 year Free-time apps~games~movies and books. Added bonus 2 year Warranty that replaces Tablet if you break it. She's Happy~I'm Happy.

I purchased this 10.1" Amazon Kindle because my kids needed a distraction while flying to South Beach last summer. It works great you just have to set up a few things and it's ready to go. Kids love all the games that are already downloaded in it.

We got this for my two year old. He can navigate through the content and find what he wants to watch or play. Excellent battery life and very durable. He has dropped it a few times and the cover has kept it in great condition.

We’ve gone through 4 of the Fire 7’s and decided to finally upgrade to a larger screen. Our son loves the screen as well as the additional games on Freetime that this version offers. We have a very happy kid at our house!!!

We brought this for are grandson. It was easy to setup. It works well as advertised. He did manage to crack the screen but Amazon sent a new one to replace it. May get one for myself they are a great tablet.

My 2 year old loves it. We upgraded from the smaller version to this one and it runs faster, has longer battery life and bigger screen. Works great, no issues. Recommend for families with little ones.

I bought this for my 5 year old son! He uses it every day and takes it with him everywhere!!! It is very durable with the case already on it!!! He says it is the best present he ever received!!!

my son loves huis tablet all the games they offer, he carry it everywhere. i love that it offers me timers for screen time. i for sure will recommend this affordable get away time for parents.

Fantastic. Simply awesome. Bought for 9 year old daughter and she LOOOVES it. She loves the games, books and movies. I love that everything is kid appropriate, and I love that I can control her content, screen time and app access from anywhere. HUGE added bonus that this comes with a two year warranty that replaces the product regardless of how it’s broken. Would def recommend t anyone who’ll listen!
