• Yes, I think it is $15 more. You should just buy it with the screen savers though - they aren't a big deal and some times they are interesting. If you change your mind later, you can always pay the extra $15 (I think that's the amount) on your Amazon account and get rid of the sponsored stuff. I haven't actually done that, but that is what I found out before I bought mine.

• Yes, the units without sponsor ads cost more. The ads are what offset the cost and allow you to purchase one for less.
