“Is there a battery you can buy to replace the original? Mine won't hold a charge. This is the second one this has happened to. Do I need to replace the charger or the kindle? I do use it daily for words with friends and e-mail.”

You can try replacing the charger but I've had four Kindle's so far and once the battery stops taking a charge normally you just have to replace the unit.
