- Answer Despite what other's have said, this is indeed the ad-supported version. You need to spend another $15 to remove the ads. The guy in the store even told me it was not the ad-supported version, but he was wrong. annoying.

- Answer Yes you can down load Google Play Store to any Fire Tablet. Just go to YouTube and there are tons of videos showing how to do it. It's not hard, just pay attention to how they do it. It won't hurt the tablet and it really opens up the usefulness of the Fire. Check H2TechVideos' channel on YouTube. It was the one I used and went very easily. Or just search how to download Google to Fire Tablet.

QuestionMy basic needs for a computer/tablet ... trying to decide between the two. I only use the item for facebook, email, financial, bill paying, internet searching. Will this work for all that or do I need to buy a laptop?

QuestionWhat is difference between this one and the Amazon 6" 16GB Fire HD -- I am considering each one. This seems newer. But 6" one does not have the SD card input. So is this one better because you can add the SD card? Can you play games on this?

- Answer The difference is this one has the SD card for expanded memory. It also was a bigger screen. You can play games on it just as you would on the 6" just with a bigger picture. I own both and prefer this one. I haven't used my 6" at all since I bought this one.

- Answer Yes you can save apps or most any files to the microSD card. The 16 GB version has about 11 GB of free space.

- Answer The easiest way to tell them apart is the 2015 HD 8 has a glossy back. The new HD 8, 2016, has a dull matte finish on the back. If you purchased it in the last 2 weeks, it should be the 2016 version. Also if you paid $89.99, then it was the new version

- Answer Not really, i was disappointed in the picture quality its pretty blurry, and it gets much worse in low light situations. I think the camera is the worst part of this tablet everything else is pretty good.

- Answer I use bluetooth regularly on mine to connect a keyboard. No activation fee, but bluetooth is off by default. Go into settings, wireless, and then turn bluetooth on. You're good to go!

- Answer When you set it up you can associate a Prime Account to it. She does not have to be the owner of the account .
