I have wifi in my home. Thinking about getting a tablet to use only at home to read news, use Facebook, email, etc. Seeing as how I have wifi in the home already, does that mean I do NOT need to add it to my phone plan? null

As long as you have Wi-Fi password you don't need to add it. You can use it anywhere with Wi-Fi as long as you have p/w. Love my Kindle!

we use our kindle fire for for all of those things from our wifi and do NOT have it added to our phone plan.
