The packaged Amazon Fire TV Stick comes with an adapter dongle so the USB port will do since you don't have a HDMI port. Also includes an mini-USB to USB cord that is used to power the Firestick. The cord plugs into the power adapter that plugs into your 120vac Wall outlet. That is because the Fire Stick requires power itself like a cell phone and Apple iPod . Hopefully your Internet Service Provider , internet speed is greater than 10Mbps since 3Mbps is the lowest required speed to operate. High Speed Internet is recommended and you must have a Router/ Modem Router for WiFi - wireless internet. For $40 the capabilities of Fire TV Stick is decent. Please Watch You Tube videos to get the most from setting up and using your Amazon Fire TV. People have provided video TIPS. The newest is Fire Tv 4K (2019) for $10 more or at $50 which contains a faster Processor at 1.7GHz providing you with higher resolution for 4K as long as you have a 4K monitor then get this model. The regular Fire TV Stick 2nd Gen. ( 2018) processor runs at 1.3GHz and does not support 4K. Both Fire TV Sticks operate in the same way. The main difference with the new 4K stick is a bit better Internet connection, slightly faster processor, and 4K capability. Note: Any TV Monitor or computer made before 2010 may find that Fire TV Stick won't work. The new 4K stick, Amazon had boosted up the number of Advertisements you will see. Also Fire Stick needs to be registered with Amazon. Many Apps require a Code or Paid Subscription. If you are a regular Amazon customer you may find becoming an Amazon PRIME member maybe worth it. Overall, Fire TV is not any cheaper than having Cable TV and possibly depending on what Apps you select and use they may cost far more than you anticipated. Stay within your means and your budget.
