• No it will not work on a splitter. I had tried this several times.

• You should buy an adapter to have multiple hdmi ports.

• Yes you will have to get a male HDMI device that has two or more female HDMI ports.

• you can split it, but you have to make sure one is powered off. I would not recommend that as it is easy to power off the firestick, but not the cable tv service unless you have only one connection.
