• You pay for the services you want example I use it for Eclipse Tv so I pay them for the service all I need to do is download the application.

• Just needed an Amazon account to get started. You still have to pay for use of apps like Netflix and Hulu.

• You don't have to, there are non-Amazon Prime apps and programming available.

• You do not have to pay amazon or have amazon prime you just need the free amazon membership. Netflix will always charge you so you do need an account with them separately
