I TOTALLY understand! I spent more time trying to get to the battery compartment than anything! Notice on the back, bottom, there is an arrow pointing up, and a line under it? Well, I put my thumbnail in the line on back, and with other hand, place thumb on the top back indention ...it slides up and off! Hang in there, it’s worth it!
