• No! you don't need to subscribe to anything. It has netflix app and prime video app. The best if pluto tv which is free so as long as you have wifi you're good to go.

• No, but you do have to have an Amazon account to use it. You also would have to have separate subscriptions to Netflix, or Hulu, Disney Plus, etc... in order to use the apps on the firestick.
