Hi Britt, u have 3 options, the easy one is download the app from apple or google store download the Firetv App and you can control it with the phone or tablet, Second you can set up with u own factory remote from the TV, just go to settings into the Tv Settings and try to detect the devices on HDMI and it will detected automatically or 3rd you have to purchase in other remote you can get it online trow Best Buy online or any store close by you. hope this help you take care.
