If you are using a public wifi hotspot owned by a business, you will get a browser window and have to click accept to connect to the hotspot. If this happens you might not be able to connect because the firetv doesnt have a browser. Amazon supposedly added software to bypass this during one of their updates but i havent tried it yet.

Fingers crossed you can get a strong enough signal while camping. As well, you'll likely need to power the stick somehow (i.e. outlet) vs using a USB port from the tv.
