You really only need one device. I have a Firestick in my bedroom and roku in living room. Like the Firestick better. It's faster and I've not had any issues loading movies like I do with Roku.

They're identical - more or less the same apps and same video selections. Amazon automatically updates your Fire Stick when new software upgrades become available.
