• There's a firestick app on Google Play and the Apple Store (I think) that gives you access to Alexa voice command. Search "Amazon Fire Stick Remote App".

• You should be able to use any smart phone with the installed app. To control your firestick. (Alexa included)

• The one with the mic is only 10 dollars more. I would rather get that one for what you are trying to do

• You can download the Amazon remote app for free. You can use your phone as the remote. You just have be on the same wifi network. It also has the microphone option.
