I use mine on a Panasonic plasma and it works great. You may have to adjust the settings if you have a Panasonic as there is a video setting that messes with the video on your Panasonic plasma. Mine never freezes unless my internet provider drops out.

The Fire Stick has frozen with Sling TV, but that appears to be related to Sling, not the Fire Stick. I have had no freezes using other apps like Netflix, Hulu, PBS, CBS Sports, etc. I have two Fire Stocks and use one with a plasma TV without issues.

Mine hasn't froze yet. But, it does depend on your Internet speed and how far away from your router. Test the location that you are wanting to put it from speedtest.net to make sure you get a steady 6mbps so you are guaranteed HD picture.
