• Yes, you can sideload apps onto the Fire by changing the app setting to allow from unknown sources and then downloading your apps from a market like 1mobile. You have to download the 1mobile app from their website and then you can go into the app store. I was able to replace several apps I have from Google play that are not available in the Amazon market. I checked and did see the Nook app there.
