Hi, i don't understand what you mean by wifi account. If your kindle is wifi only then you can connect to any available wifi network at any location.

WiFi account? You can connect it to any free WiFi hotspots or the home WiFi... if you are not able to then you can load books using computer, don’t even have to connect it to WiFi. Don’t know if I answered your question... refer to the photo attached, I am connected to Xfinitywifi public hotspot

You need wifi, you can add the device to your home wifi or a public spot. Without Wifi you can not download or search the store.

Wifi is needed to download a book, but once it is downloaded, you can read the book without a connection. You just add it to your amazon account.
