A:AnswerAfter you open the shrink wrap, I believe you can’t return it. I’d call and ask them about it, but from my memory, on the receipt sticker that was on my switch games, it said something about not being able to return them if the shrink wrap was taken off.
A:AnswerMaybe for more simple things, like receiving points from talking to villagers, maybe decorating even. There are aspects of the game that involve gambling and trading which is probably above what a 3yo can do.
A:AnswerUnfortunately you will need a MicroSD storage card to be compatible with your Nintendo Switch. If you bought the bundle of a storage card and Switch from BestBuy and they made a mistake, I'm fairly sure they would exchange it for the proper card.
A:AnswerIf you're looking to be able to play your save file on say the lite and then pick it up on the console Switch, I unfortunately believe that won't work. The island, the save file basically, in New Horizons is tied to the Switch system itself and you can only have one island per system. If this seems annoying, you're not alone in that belief. In the most recent update (the Aug. update) they added in the ability to backup your island to cloud storage if you have an online subscription so you can recover your island in the event of damage or a lost Switch. I'm not entirely sure if they put a limit on how many times you can download from the cloud or something, as I have not needed to use the feature, but when the game released they originally stated they didn't have cloud backup as they didn't want people to abuse it to manipulate mechanics in the game.
If you were curious about buying one digital copy and having two separate profiles use it, rather than one person jumping between the systems, I believe there are some articles online mentioning how to do that. However, with things such as that I would recommend attempting it at your own discretion, and due to the sheer amount of time you can put into this game I personally wouldn't do anything to risk losing progress.
A:AnswerYes! You can play with the online membership and visit other islands. You use the airport and shortly into the game (you will need to complete a few tasks first) you’ll be able to start flying or allow others onto your island! You can play local play which doesn’t require online but you must be near each other console to do this, or online play to play with others not close. You can also become friends with them in the game to send mail and gifts to them through online connection.
A:AnswerIt's one island per console. The first profile to play is the "mayor" and the other person is basically a resident. You do, unfortunately, need a second switch for a second island. Truly a baffling decision on Nintendo's part.
A:AnswerSo at the moment, most Best Buy locations, if not all of them, are not letting customers in the store. However, they do have a new curbside option where you can order the product from the parking lot, choose pick up from store, and they will bring it to your car in about 10-30 min. Hope that helps!
A:AnswerThey have digital code available for direct purchase from here (or the eshop on your Switch). Each are 59.99 right now. You will need a Nintendo Online subscription to visit your friends in-game. Hope this helps!
A:AnswerThese guys do have a digital code you can buy. They will email you a code to enter in your eshop on your Switch. That’s how I bought mine. Or you can also buy it directly from the Nintendo eshop on your Switch. Hope this helps!
A:AnswerIf anything happens to your Nintendo Switch, it can go in many directions; if you have a digital copy of Animal Crossing the data still remains in the game and can be transferred through a "save data transfer" to another Nintendo Switch console. If you have a physical version of the game, the data will stay in the game card and you would need to update the version in the next console you choose to use. Hope this helps!
