I think that’s where the roav’s battery comes into play. There is enough juice to record a bit if struck.

I connect the dash cam using the provided 12V USB adapter to the car outlet. I set the parking mode at medium sensitive. So far no car has bumped into mine. According to the ads, when a car bumps into the front, it should record.
