“I am mounting in attic. Do you have to aim antenna towards prevailing tv towers? If so, how is this accomplished?”

For the most part, depending on your antenna, you will have to face it towards the towers from which you want to receive signal. The best way to know which direction that is would be to contact our Technical Support team so that we can run a radar plot for you based on your location. Yes it will work better if you aim it towards the towers. You can get the location and direction using antennaweb.org website.

Mounted mine outside, but didn't worry about direction. Works great. I would simply try trial and error.

Yes, you have to find the direction with the best signal.
