I drilled a hole in my wall to run the cable through and hung antenna in my garage about 6 feet off the ground. It works great. It pulled in approximately 30 stations, the previous flat style antenna only pulled in about three or four. Very happy with my purchase and highly recommend.

I was looking for an antenna that would pick up channels of the 2 major markets that I live inbetween. Of 137 channels I now receive 132! Be sure to point the antenna toward the towers in your area for the best clear picture. I put mine in the attic to reduce the amount of obstructions. Very happy with this purchase.

I live out the boonies, and this antenna works great. My only issue with it is it should come with a coax cable. It does state on the box, that it doesn’t have coax. But most people don’t read the box. The sales person said it came with a short cable.

Hooked this up to my Tablo Quad and it works beautifully.. I mounted it on its stand on shelf. The scan I ran picked up 83 channels. Some are the same channel broadcast on different frequency . I’m 11 miles from the broadcasting antennas. Works great.

I was surprised with reception & picture quality! I am able to get over 40 local channels. (Only watch 4 for local news) I did end up putting the antenna in my attic, and ran the wire through the interior wall where the TV hangs on. Took a little bit of time, but looks like a pro’s have installed it.

I purchased this antenna for a bedroom. It’s working very efficiently. Previously I was frustrated with the couple channels I was getting with another brand of antenna. The channels used to bleep out whenever a car went by. With this antenna I have no problems with bleeping out and I get several additional channels. Very satisfied with this antenna.

Probably the best indoor antenna you can get. I get 43 channels. Unfortunately many are music/ religious/ PBS/ Latino/government and kids. Hung it high above my wall mounted bedroom tv. Doesn’t look bad.

    With an Antenna, Size Matters

I've been a cord cutter for more than a decade and dealt with the vagaries of a changing skyline around us and unpredictable weather. Living in lower Manhattan, the issue isn't signal strength but rather multi-path signals from reflections off all the buildings around us. In the days before digital TV, that meant severe ghosting and a picture that was unwatchable. With today's digital TV, the picture is either perfect or not there at all, and even with transmissions from only a few miles away, a rain shower can cause the picture to break up. We can receive some 50 channels, but ever since the new World Trade Center was completed, half of them are broadcast from there with the other half from the Empire State Building, 90 degrees in the other direction. Living inside a steel-frame building, no single indoor antenna could capture all stations from both directions. Using a so-called omni-directional antenna or combining multiple indoor antennas actually made the problem significantly worse, and amplifying the signal made no difference at all. An amplified bad signal is still a bad signal. After reading many reviews, we decided on this antenna. It claims to pull in stations from 60 miles away, but that was not an issue for us. We just needed to be able to pull in stations from several city blocks away. Most outdoor antennas, however, are highly directional and cannot handle the off-axis signals that predominate in New York. Although directional, the ClearStream 2MAX has one of the best off-axis signal capture profiles of any antenna on the market. In theory, aiming it between the two transmitters should still yield a usable signal. In actual practice, our first attempt was a complete bust. With the antenna mounted directly over one of the building's largest steel support beams, there was no usable signal at all. With a longer cable and by mounting the antenna directly to the railing of our terrace, the reception was perfect. For the first time since we cut the cord some 12 years ago, we are able to pull in all stations in all kinds of weather, without fail. This is a very large antenna but when it comes to pulling in a stable digital signal, size really does matter. Pros: Excellent signal quality, multiple mounting options, easy to position. Cons: Large and unwieldy, does not come with cable, which the user must supply, no options or instructions for proper grounding - the user must supply their own grounding block and look up instructions for use on their own.

Installed this in my attic and it works great. I get so many channels, all of the major networks so I can watch NBA playoffs. I’m in the valley in Los Angeles. The picture is super clear on most channels, I’m really impressed. If you’re getting this do yourself a favor and mount it high! Either in the attic or outside attached to the roof. Makes all the difference.

Would not recommend this antenna! Installed directly in front of a window, no obstructions, signal booster added and channels within 16 miles constantly pixelating or no signal. The 60+ miles extended range is very inaccurate. The cost of this antenna is far and above what this antenna is worth. If I could return it, would be returned!! Very dissatisfied with this product and purchase!

Sorry for the inconvenience this caused you. When you connected the antenna, did you scan the TV for channels? If not, please try this by using the remote control for your TV. Go to menu, then channels and scan for channels. It is also possible that you are installing the antenna in a location where no signals are present. Try moving the antenna to a different area of your home and rescan the TV for channels again. Some locations can be in a bad spot to receive signals. If you need any assistance, we would be happy to help you. Please call us 877-825-5572 9am to 7pm M-F and on weekends from 10am to 6pm CST. Indoor/Outdoor HDTV Clearstream 2Max OTA Antenna

I bought the Indoor/Outdoor HDTV Clear stream 2Max OTA Antenna just to test it as an outdoor antenna. There was no doubt in my mind that it would not work as well as I wanted it to, and that I would return it. So I put it on my roof but did not mount it down and pretty much got the same channels I was getting before. I went back and adjusted the antenna slightly in another direction, rescanned the channels again and WOW!, I could not believe it, my channel line up went from 29 channels to 44 clear channels with no pixels. the digital indicator on my Yamaha 6.1 receiver indicated digital source and the picture and surround sound is incredible. Grant it , it is still Winter and the leaves are not on the thousand trees I have in my back yard, but right now everything is great. I am getting channels 60 + miles away. This Clear stream 2Max OTA Antenna for me is a keeper.

This antenna is very easy to hook-up right out of the box. Pulls in a great signal with better picture quality than the local cable company provided. It’s sitting on an end table in front of a large bow window. I have it positioned facing the towers in my area which are about 10 miles away. I returned the first antenna I purchased @ Best Buy. It had a built in amplifier and performed less than satisfactory.I Should have saved myself the inconvenience and bought the Clearstream 2 Max from the beginning. I get all the local channels and then some!

Hello DeeC! We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused you. With the ClearStream 2MAX, most people tend to place the antenna on the floor. The towers are 1500 feet up in the air, so the higher you can get your antenna the better. Also, you always need to rescan the TV for channels each time you move the antenna. This could take a few attempts. If this doesn’t work for you, please contact our support team so they can make a recommendation for the right antenna for your location. They’ll need a little more information from you to perform a free signal analysis. We are here 7 days a week at 1-877-825-5572. antennasdirect

I live next to power lines and I never could get very good reception with several other indoor antennas but this one is terrific. I get over 38 stations and I never have to worry about bad weather moving in to prevent me from watching the news.

I purchased the Clearstream 2Max to replace a MOHU Leaf antenna. I was hoping that it would be the answer to my cord cutting prayer. I did my due diligence an read reviews and searched YouTube and this antenna got decent reviews. This antenna is advertised as an Indoor/Outdoor antenna but the best reception come when the antenna is placed on the floor pointed toward the outside patio glass door. Which is an eyesore. Even then I have to get up and move it when I change channels. The base falls off every time I pick it up to move it (second photo). The 4th picture shows what the picture looks like when it is sitting next to the television. In that position I get 2 or 3 channels but the reception is questionable at best. See picture #1. I live in an apartment and recognize that the walls in the apartment may be a large part of the problem. My next step is to try to mount it outside. I purchased a flat coaxial cable so that the patio door will close since drilling holes through wall in apartments is frowned upon. The Clearstream 2Max comes with mounting hardware to mount it outdoors. I placed my old MOHU Leaf in my bedroom window attached to my new LG television and the reception is great. So it reasons that this Clearstream antenna will improve once it is mounted outside. The $90 price tag is double the price of the Leaf. I had to leave town for a week and missed the deadline to return it so it cost me an extra $22 to get it placed outdoors and I expect to spend more since I don't want to drill into the walls of the apartment.
