“I have a metal roof. If I mount this antenna in my attic, will the roof prevent it from getting a good signal? If so, is this the case with how all HD Antennas work with metal roofing? Thanks!”

I have steel siding and it dose not work very well thru it. I am not too sure if all HD's have this issue but this one does.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.It very well may. Can you mount it on pole bolted to the side of your house so it extends above the roof? Or maybe you have a window on the top floor with curtain covering it - you could use heavy duty suction cups.
