• Your TV is the unit that can use the signal HD. The local channels are broadcast in HD.

• Hi Tom24, thank you for your question! Digital signal is how the signal is transmitted from the broadcast tower to your antenna. Digital broadcasts transmit in data packets, or 0’s and 1’s very similar to a computer network. High Definition, or HD, refers to the resolution of the video once displayed on your TV. HD is 720 or 1080 lines of resolution.
