“What kind of material is the antenna made of? I live in a highly corrosive sea salt environment with the ocean less than 100 feet away. Standard metal/steel (even when protected) rusts away to nothing in a very short time. Aluminum does much better.”

install it in the attic. it works fantastic.

I suspect this is best asked of the manufacturer since that is who you would need to get support from if the unit failed in your environment. I have not had issues but I live in the city. Reception is awesome as well, by the way., all my stations are over 50 miles away in opposite directions.
