Q: QuestionHow does the C4MVJ model differ from the C4-V-CJM model? They both have the same list price of $149.99 but the C4MVJ is currently on sale for $99.99 but the C4-V-CJM has a better rating. Which is the better model?
Asked by StantheMan.
- A:Answer The primary difference between the C4MVJ and the C4-V-CJM are the compared pickup paths. The Clearstream 4 Max, model C4MVJ, has a 43° pickup path from the front and back because it does not have reflectors behind the loop elements. The Clearstream 4 V, model C4-V-CJM has a 43° path from the front with much less reception from the back and sides because it has reflectors behind its loop elements. Q: QuestionCan I use an antenna amplifier / signal booster with this antenna? I have to reach quite a distance to pick up the channels I'm after, and they sometimes pixelate or go out all together.
Asked by Eric.
- A:Answer Yes an amplifier can be added to the Clearstream 4 max. Amplifiers do not always improve a weak signal because it can only add power to signal after it hits the antenna. Feel free to contact our Technical Support team for more support. You can reach them either on the phone @ 877-825-5572 or online with our Live Chat option. Thanks for your time!

Q: QuestionI have dish network hd right now for 4 rooms. If I connect this antenna outside where the dish is now and hook up using their coax cable I should be good to go right? Or would I be better off just putting in attic and running coax to hd tv instead.
Asked by Cth524.
- A:Answer I did exactly what you mentioned, and tossed the dish in the trash after sending back their receiver. I recall I had some issue with a switch or hook up in the box DISH used before entering the house. I called Clearstream and they walked me through what I needed to do. Voila! I get amazing reception and I am pulling from opposite directions, 50 miles each way. HD is great as well and I am saving a ton. Cut DISH, got Hulu and Netflix and saving hundreds a month.

Q: QuestionHow many tv can receive signal in the house
Asked by Gunny.
- A:Answer Greetings from Antennas Direct! We've had people connect 8 TVs to one antenna, so you just have to remember every time you split the signal, you loose some gain from the antenna. You may need to use a preamplifier or a distribution amplifier to regain some signal strength. If you would like to call us we are available 7 days a week, toll-free at 1-877-825-5572. The call and support are free. No obligation to purchase. Our hours are. 9am to 9pm Mon - Fri and Sat – Sun 10am to 6pm Central Time.

Q: Questionif I put antenna in my attic will that decrease reception
Asked by boompaw.
- A:Answer Depends on your location I guess. If surrounded by trees or really far from main city then it will be limited. However, it’s all about getting it in the right spot and your good to go

Q: QuestionI currently have Directv with coax cable running to 5 TV's in my house. If I plug in the coax cable from this antenna into the existing coax line, will that be a good installation? Should I get an amplifier? Do you recommend running new coax? Thank you.
Asked by Camargo824.
- A:Answer We used the coaxial wires from our former satellite provider to successfully connect 4 televisions. No amplifier was needed. The antenna was mounted near where the satellite dish was located. Installation took about 60 minutes. Scanning the channels on each television was what consumed most of our time but it is well worth the time spent. I hope this helps you out.
