It depends on whether the broadcast channels in your area carry the programming in question. The antenna only picks up broadcast channels.

Discovery channel will not be available and only NASCAR races broadcast on local channels will be available. This antenna does a good job of bringing in local channels from within a 59 mile range depending on the topography of your area. I live in St Augustine and receive 28 channels, mainly from Jacksonville, including PBS.
